Keynote 2: Architecting for Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity

Date & Time

Wednesday, 30 May

11:45 - 13:00

The very blueprint of organisations now needs to shift. How are you storing, transporting and auditing the data you hold? How does your organisation comply with transparency requirements, how do you assess cyber risk or allow your audience the right to be forgotten?

There are a number of tools disposable to support these new requirements, blockchain being one of the most misunderstood and misused examples. As one reddit user summarised ‘the internet intends to trivialize distance, the blockchain intends to trivialize trust’, so how can we actually use the blockchain as a security technology? In the session, we discuss the range of use cases around blockchain, outside of its synonym with just cryptocurrency.
