Successful Models for the Deployment of Infrastructure in Latin America
The program examines the stumbling blocks to infrastructure deployment in Latin America; featuring presentations by Senior Directors at GSMA, the session addresses salient issues that are of interest to local authorities, including the relationship between health and telecommunications.
The Summit stresses constructive conversations between businesses and local authorities with two panels with the objective of having a lasting impact beyond the event itself. In the “Successful Deployment Models” panel, Latin American officials and business leaders share their experiences as transparent rules and legal certainty have given way to increased investments benefiting local communities. The panel “Local Authorities Outline Conditions for Acceptable Deployment” brings together government representatives and businesses to discuss the new investments and enhanced telecommunication services set to benefit all. The goal of the Summit is to encourage a proactive approach on both sides with companies explaining how far they can go in fulfilling government expectations.
The joint ANATEL/ GSMA Program ends with an award ceremony in which the Governor of the central Mexican State of Hidalgo will receive a special recognition for his role in developing a state-wide model for telecom infrastructure deployment.
