As the head of Market Development for Sub Saharan Africa, Nancy is responsible for growing Mastercard’s acceptance footprint and cashless payments across platforms including digital and online payments.
Her career spans 2 decades in products and innovation excellence, expanding markets, deepening inclusion and democratizing access for all, driving commercial leadership and growth in the ICT, Digital, Payments and Connected worlds in roles held in financial services in banking and Telcos in Africa. She’s had the privilege of innovating, launching and commercializing high speed connectivity solutions (fixed and mobile broadband across customer segments), mobile financial and digital banking solutions covering person to person payments, merchant/utility payments, digital savings, digital credit and investments solutions with leading brands in Sub Saharan Africa.
Prior to joining Mastercard, Nancy was the Chief Digital Officer at HF group, Head of Consumer products at Safaricom in Kenya, and General Manager Marketing – Products and Innovation Revenue Management at Airtel Africa covering 17 African countries among other roles.
She holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Strathmore Business School and is also an advanced management and executive leadership alumnus of INSEAD and IESE business schools.
