Jeremy Chappell is based in Malaysia, and is the Managing Director of JESA (Asia Pacific), a consulting firm which works closely with ASEAN clients on digital transformation programs, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. He has been advising Asia Pacific clients for over 20 years, including mobile, and cloud operators, federal governments, and large enterprise/industrial firms. He has led teams which have deployed identity management and digital ID initiatives in private environments, national public schemes, and ASEAN cross-border information exchanges.
To address the complex issues of data sovereignty and privacy, Jeremy has contributed to the launch of several private cloud-based services. He advises his clients on the role of digital identities within Industry 4.0 strategies, including issues impacting biometrics, AI and IoT services. He will be discussing several examples of secure digital identities, including humanitarian, industrial and governmental use cases. He will also highlight some practical examples of controlled digital ID sharing amongst stakeholders.
