Media & Entertainment: Demands for Digital Connectivity
The rising number of global mergers and acquisitions between media companies and network operators is a clear indication of a shift in the importance of content distribution and access. This could not be more evident than in Latin America. Over 70% of households in the region are consuming video content on streaming platforms, like Movistar Play and Claro Video. While digital connectivity steadily improves, consumers do not have the mobile broadband they need to consume all of the content they want. This session will examine the opportunities and challenges facing content creators, distribution platforms and connectivity leaders in Latin America.
