The Platform for Entrepreneurs, Technology Leaders and the Wider Mobile Ecosystem to Share the Innovation Taking Place Across the Continent

Mobile is making a vital contribution to economic growth in Latin America, as well as tackling a range of social challenges, such as closing the digital divide and bringing financial inclusion to previously underserved populations. However, the rapid adoption of more advanced devices and higher speed network coverage means that mobile technology has the potential to play a much more significant role in the years to come. Mobile 360 – Latin America explored how mobile facilitates and supports future innovation.

In 2017, the Mobile 360 – Latin America conference examined regional key drivers including topics such as IoT, Connected Car, Mobile Identity, Cyber & Network Security, Mobile Money, NFV, 5G, Content & Media, Media & Advertising, and more. Underlining a focus on innovation, the conference included a “Spotlight on Innovation” session, with a panel of venture capitalists, investors and industry experts sharing their view on what makes a successful telecommunications venture today, followed by a pitch session where Latin American startups presented their companies to the expert panel and the audience.

Alongside the conference, attendees visited the “Innovation Showcase” to experience the latest in mobile technology first-hand through demonstrations from start-ups, sponsors and GSMA Hub, among others. Mobile 360 – Latin America hosted additional concurrent meetings and activities, including GSMA Working Group meetings, a seminar on corporate social responsibility and executive roundtable sessions.roundtable sessions.
