GSMA RCS Business Messaging Awareness Lab #20

The Future Networks Programme will be hosting the twentieth GSMA RCS Business Messaging Lab on Wednesday, 5 December at 13:00-17:00.

Attending a GSMA RCS Business Messaging Lab allows you to contribute to the future of business messaging. From designing commercial models and customer experience, to informing the GSMA standards, your contribution will ensure an open ecosystem that works together to realise the value estimated by 2020 of $74 billion. Networking is a major part of the Lab series, and individuals have made important connections at the Labs they have gone on to work with.

The Awareness Lab is aimed at companies that are new to RCS. The purpose of these Labs is to provide individuals with an understanding of the Operator RCS service, the GSMA Universal Profile standard, the RCS Ecosystem (Operators, Brands, Technology Companies and Marketing Companies), RCS global deployment, handset adoption, customer experience, brand trials, commercial models and privacy, and security and trust. The Awareness Lab is open to both members and non-members.

Security & Fraud Working Group (SEGF)

The GSMA Latin America Security and Fraud group seeks to become the main channel of coordination and communication between the region’s operators. The search for best practices in these issues benefits the operators and the mobile industry as a whole. At GSMA LA, this group seeks to ensure cooperation between the different companies in the region and take their concerns to governmental, regulatory and other concerned organizations in order to take necessary actions in a timely manner.

Regulatory Working Group (REGU)

This group is focused on the debate and analysis on regulatory issues and events that are of relevance in Latin America such as regulatory modernisation, spectrum for mobile broadband, number portability, IoT from a regulatory perspective, infrastructure economics, and others. In addition, it has the objectives of promoting social responsibility among its members, representing them before other international organizations, inter-governmental and industry. The group is an important source of learning and information sharing for mobile operators resulting in best practices and better services to society.

Wholesale Agreements and Solutions LATAM Group (WASL)

This group brings together the entire community engaged in the international business of our members – wholesale market and roaming and value added services – to discuss the best technical and commercial practices and promote the growth of these services in Latin America. It is a vital space for connecting mobile operators in the region with platform and solution providers. WASL works with other GSMA groups worldwide, such as the Interoperability Data specifications and Settlement Group (IDSG), Transferred Account Data.

Technical & Terminals Working Group (TECT)

OPEN TO ALL ATTENDEES

This working group’s mission is to provide support to members of GSMA LA regarding technical aspects of networks of the GSM/3GPP family and their evolution. The TECT group is also a forum for the exchange of its members’ experiences in the implementation of networks and services and a channel to disseminate and promote recommendations, events and GSMA training programs. The group has the goal of identifying and consolidating common regional technical and commercial requirements and sharing them with the appropriate stakeholders in the telco ecosystem.
