Maya Arvini, or Maya, was a scholarship recipient of Exxon Mobil (Bachelor’s Degree Program) and Putera Sampoerna Foundation (Master’s Degree Program). She was named as the best graduate student from University of Indonesia for MBA Program in 2005 with Summa Cum Laude title, then graduated double major from Padjadjaran University of Agriculture and Economy Faculties, both with Cum Laude title.
Other than studying, she also loves to take part in various student organizations like students’ senate, students’ associations, and students’ cooperative. Since young, Maya has got many academic achievements and she was always number one in her schools and became champion for math, physics, chemistry competition in Jakarta, and national champion of Cerdas Cermat (national competition for school students).
Started her career as business development at IBM Indonesia, with her consistent track record she selected as “The Best ASEAN Sales Representative” from IBM ASEAN and achieving the highest award “IBM Golden Circle” from IBM Worldwide in 2008. In 2009, Maya continue her career as business development, received “Microsoft Share Fighter Award” from Microsoft Asia Pacific and won “Young Women Future Business Leader” competition from business magazine SWA then she moved role as Business Group Head at Marketing & Operations Department in Microsoft Indonesia. During her tenure, she was able to scale up the business to 250%, grew rapidly compared to the competitors.
In 2014, Maya decided to continue her career at one of biggest Indonesian local conglomeration. Joined Gunung Sewu Group, Maya acted as Associate Director, Market
Development & Head of (Strategic Business Unit) Office. At young age, Maya was responsible to develop business units and he was also trusted by owner to execute various strategic functions. Along with the rapid growth of start-ups in Indonesia, in 2019, Maya joined Qlue as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to give contribution in start-ups world in
Maya loves writing, reading, teaching, sports, and travelling. Other than writing the book “Career First”, Maya is a blog contributor for “profession” sub-forum in Kaskus and radio host for Women Career program. She also actively gives lectures and seminars about career and soft skills and becomes the mentor at Young On Top community. Taking her coaching and mentorship skills seriously, Maya joined certification program for Professional and Executive Coach in 2017-2018.
Latest Maya’s activities other than working is becoming a speaker on podcast audio application and Abang None Jakarta (Jakarta Beauty Pageant) jury and mentor for three areas : Marketing, Public Relations, and Public Speaking. Where Abang None Kepulauan Seribu and South Jakarta won the general champion in 2016, 2017, 2019 and also won None Jakarta category for three years in a row: 2016, 2017, and 2018.
