Has special interest in corporate governance, ethics and anti-bribery laws, privacy and human rights and is a regular speaker at various public seminars and conferences on topics related to corporate governance, role of in-house counsel and company secretarial practice. Chaired the Annual Corporate Governance Conference organized by the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance for 2 years in a row and recently chaired the Asian Law Business Conference. Eulis is also a Malaysian Institute of Accountants’ Ethics Standard Board member.
Head of Ethics & Privacy at Celcom Axiata Berhad since 15 June 2017 and her role is to promote a structured, consistent and integrated approach to ethics, privacy and compliance to embed a strong ethical culture amongst Celcom employees. Prior to joining Celcom, she was with the Corporate Governance and International Compliance Department of PETRONAS where she was the subject matter expert on Anti-Bribery, Privacy and Human Rights and undertook Human Rights Due Diligence in South Sudan, Iraq and the PETRONAS RAPID Project in Pengerang, Johor.
Before focusing on ethics and compliance, she had over 20 years working experience as an in-house Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for various multinational and public listed companies. Experience includes advising the Board and Management on compliance with Companies’ Act, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance issues and other legal and secretarial matters. Her varied experience includes a stint with KLCC Berhad as the construction lawyer for the development of the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
Eulis is a passionate gardener and spends her weekends at her paradise garden in Seremban.
